What the press says

The instrumentation is greatly accompanied by the raw-sounding vocals that present the feeling of intimacy between the artist and a listener.

Luna’s new single manages to impart a feel-good mood. In fact, it is the kind of song that is prone to elicit a smile one’s face, and the kind that can be listen to over and over, without getting bored!
Indie Gems

I am really enjoying the tone of Luna's vocals and how they beautifully connect the emotions of her lovely storytelling. Luna shows the listener that life isn't a straight line and we should embrace the ups and downs, and accept that sometimes it is ok not to be ok.

Luna Keller tips the atmospheric scales towards the more uplifting territory, through the amazingly warm and empowering melody of ‘High Low High Low’.

The verses are as catchy as the choruses. In "High Low High Low", every part is incredibly catchy. And it's very easy to sing along.

About High Low High Low

Life truly has its ups and downs and 2020 reminded all of us of that. I remember the first lockdown starting three days before my drivers license test and only weeks before my planned tour. It was a really hard lockdown not allowing you to leave the house at all except to get the groceries and go to the doctor, and since I didn’t have a license and only one person was allowed in the car at the same time that meant 6 weeks without leaving the house for me. After that low the little things suddenly seemed a little bit more wonderful. I remember going down to the sea for the first time and just crying for 30 minutes because it’s just looked so beautiful.

I managed to get my drivers license and to play my tour in late summer - small house concerts only. It was on the first date of that tour that I wrote „High Low High Low“ and I played it at every concert after that. The song became a companion on my journey, a reminder that life goes up and down and that’s ok. Sometimes everything is great and we’re feeling low, sometimes we find the light in in the darkest places. But we always keep moving forward in this beautiful rollercoaster called life. And even if we can’t predict what will happen after the next turn (just like I went on tour without knowing how many concerts I would get to play) we can still keep hope, and life will often surprise us. My 4 confirmed gigs turned into an 11 gig tour, with quarantines and ups and downs but mostly wonderful people and wonderful places. They all heard this song and now I get to share it with you too. Thank you for listening and may your rollercoaster give you a wonderful ride.

Lyrics

Feeling high on the highway
I see the world go by
Feeling high on the highway
I’m quite alright
Feeling low in my hometown
Close the door and start to cry
Feeling low in my hometown
I’m burning inside

And I aim at the ceiling
But I get the feeling
That I’m gonna fall low
And there’s this fear in my bones
As I reach for the stars
While fighting my wars
And I don’t know
Where this path is gonna go

High low high low
That’s all I know
This life is a rollercoaster
Me you me you
What can I do?
When I feel our hearts beating closer

Looking over your shoulder
I know your eyes are closed
I’ve never felt colder
In a crowded room
And I am so happy
So happy that it makes me sad
My mind has a gift
To turn bad to good and good to bad

I aim at the ceiling
But I get the feeling
That I’m gonna fall low
And there’s this fear in my bones
As I reach for the stars
While fighting my wars
And I don’t know where
This path is gonna go

High low high low
That’s all I know
This life is a rollercoaster
Me you me you
What can I do?
When I feel our hearts beating closer

Will I fall again?
Will I learn to stand tall?
Will I cry again?
Or will I learn to fly?
Oh will I learn to fly?

High low high low
That’s all I know
This life is a rollercoaster
Me you me you
What can I do?
When I feel our hearts beating closer
High low high low
That’s all I know
This life is a rollercoaster
Me you me you
What can I do?
When I feel our hearts beating closer
When I feel our heart beating closer
