I knew I wanted to have a song about being there for one another at this point of the album. A song that feels like someone walks up to you, giving you a hug that makes you feel a little lighter immediately. All the questions and challenges feel less daunting if we face them together. So it only felt right to ask my producer and dear friend Dominic Romano to write it with me (he gives great hugs). I already had a rough idea for this song but it didn’t feel complete, Dominic added all the right ideas in all the right places.

Once we were happy with the song we added it to the album line up and recorded it alongside the other album tracks in February. I remember being so happy to hear Dominic singing on this song since he had lost his voice for a long time and had just started singing again when we were working on it. The final version feels like a turning point on the album, from questions and uncertainty to a certain warmth and comfort. We’re not alone and neither are you.
